About the project
In early 2008, Sarah Dekelbaum’s story helped launch a fundraising effort to provide humanitarian relief for women and families in Darfur. Even though the story Sarah tells takes place during the Holocaust, the central theme of speaking out when there is injustice is especially resonant today.
Through sales of the DVD and generous donations, this project raised over $130,000 to provide 4,333 fuel-efficient stoves in Darfur.
Today, international non-profits continue to play a vital role in bringing community level solutions to vulnerable populations in developing countries. Please consider making a donation to Global Communities (formerly CHF International), to help support these essential programs.
